SIGBIN

So here's another monstrous creature but not available in any countries only in the Philippines. We call it Sigbin or Sigben, we will get to know this crearure and where did it begin and what they do.

This creature (I don't know if it really exist though) is a part of an old Philippine myth which I know most of you're grandparents told stories about it. Sigbin's are most common in Visayas and Mindanao sicne I did not hear any stories about it in the metro or some urban place in Luzon.

An example of an Aswang
Based on myth stories, Sigbins are own by the family "Sigbinan", who are blessed with the power to control or command Sigbins. It has been said that it is a pet of an "Aswang" (a monster who hunt for blood and sometimes transform itself to an animal) keeping them in a big jars made of clay.

It's usually attacks basing on the myths during Holy Week, hunting for it's prey which are children (the reason why we are afraid to go out at night because of the stories of our grand parents about Sigbin) suck their blood and get their hearts which they used as an amulet for themselves.

It is said that it looks like a kangaroo, but it walks backwards with its head lowered between its hind legs, and to have the ability to become invisible to other creatures especially to humans. They are said to have red eyes, big ears as size as a hand and a flexible tail which can be used as a whip. Their faces is color gold and they discharge disgusting odor.

There are no pictures that will show as proof this creature exist. But many people believed that it does exist basing on eyewitnesses who sees this creature. I can see as well that this creature is somewhat similar to Chupacabra but differs in appearance and prey.
